Is the Disc required to play the Captain’s Edition on the Series X|S or the PlayStation 5?
Yes.
Is the Captain's Edition available for the Nintendo Switch?
No. The Captain’s Edition is only available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
When can I pre-order?
Pre-orders open on February 6. Be sure to add it to your wish list so you can be notified when it is available.
If I buy the physical edition of MLB the Show 23 with dual entitlement, do I have to get the Xbox Series X with the disc drive to play if I upgrade to next gen?
If you plan to eventually play on next gen consoles, the digital standard edition will give you the option to purchase the upgrade digitally. If you purchase the digital deluxe edition, both last gen and next gen are included.
Where can I download the PS5 version of the Captain Edition?
- First, make sure you have the disc inserted into your PS5.
- Then press the “…” next to the “Play Game” button and select “Select Version”
- Select MLB The Show 23 PS5 version.
- Select “View Product”
- Then press the button that says “Free” under “PS5 Upgrade (Disc Required)”.
- REMEMBER THE DISC MUST BE INSERTED TO SEE THIS OPTION.
Nintendo Switch
Will the Nintendo Switch support Cross saves?
Yes. You can upload your saves through the cloud and download them on the other platforms.
Will I need to download the game if I buy the cartridge?
Yes. An additional download is required.
Will I be able to play with my friends on other consoles?
Yes, full cross play is supported.
Can I create a stadium on the Nintendo Switch?
No. Stadium Creator is only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Will the Nintendo Switch support Cross Progression?
Yes! You can move from platform to platform and retain all your items and inventory. Cross-platform progression requires an internet connection and for each platform you play on: 1) a copy of the MLB The Show 23 game compatible with your console (other platform versions sold separately); and 2) platform network account linked to your MLB The Show account.

What is the release date for MLB The Show 23?
The standard edition of MLB The Show 23 releases on March 28th.
Which platforms will MLB The Show 23 be available on?
PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
Can I transfer my custom logos from MLB The Show 22 to MLB The Show 23?
Logos uploaded to the vault will automatically transfer to MLB The Show 23.
Will Stadiums transfer?
No, stadiums will not transfer.
Will MLB The Show 23 have year to year saves?
No. Year to year saves will not be supported in MLB The Show 23.
Will MLB The Show 23 support Cross Progression?
Yes. Just create an MLB The Show account (here) and link all your primary PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Nintendo Online accounts.
Is Sounds of the Show in MLB The Show 23?
Sounds of the Show is only available on PlayStation 4 consoles. On all other consoles, players will have 3 slots to set the Walk-Up music, 1 slot to set the Home Run celebration, and 3 slots for Pitcher Entry music. Players will not be able to upload your own music on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
How do I get Twitch Drops?

Are Stubs available to purchase in all regions?
Stubs are available for sale in all countries except those where local conditions or laws may be prohibitive.
Can I use stubs purchased on PlayStation on the other consoles?
No, purchased stubs stay locked to the platform they are purchased on. However, stubs earned throughout the game can be used on any console.
Will my account get banned for flipping cards on the marketplace?
No. Flipping cards in the Community Marketplace will not put your account at risk for suspension.
MLB the Show 23 Tech Test
When does the Tech Test start and when does it end?
It starts February 15 around 10am PST and lasting through 10am PST February 21
Does my progress or cards collected from the Tech Test carry over for the full release of MLB The Show 23?
No. Everything from the Tech Test will be wiped, and nothing will transfer.
What consoles are available for the Tech Test?
PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
